It was about 13 years ago that I first met Rebekah and I must say it was the start of something exciting and special. I was new to a hospital system, and we were tasked with trying to develop a sustainable outpatient total joint program. She was the glue that held this dream together and within a very short period we were seeing great success. She was able to negotiate and coordinate multiple participants and teams with grace, diplomacy, and phenomenal attention to detail. As a surgeon all I knew was an idea and a concept, but it was Rebekah that brought the program to life. She is personable, intelligent, and an absolute joy to work with. You will be served to have her part of your program or organization.

Rebekah! What can you say about Rebekah! I met Rebekah when I was the anesthesiology complement on a large, truly multidisciplinary team tasked with creating one of the nation's first same-day-discharge total joint programs. At the time the average hospital stays were measured in days. Within a year we went from a vision to building the system - policies, pathways, and protocols, that made routine/same day discharge reliable and safe. From there, the leap to routine outpatient total joint replacement felt like a dunk shot. Rebekah was the key to making this happen. Looking back, I realize she functioned as my personal coach - helping me navigate committees, corporate and regulatory agencies, build consensus and create a real team identity. It was a new experience for me and we genuinely had fun doing it. If you want someone who will support you, help you with what you don't yet know, and help build something everyone thinks is impossible, you couldn't ask for a better partner or coach. 

Rebekah is an insightful and collaborative partner who brings clarity and intention to her work. She was thoughtful in helping us refine our approach and understand how to craft meaningful partnerships between complex healthcare systems. I have appreciated her professionalism and perspective in navigating unforeseen challenges and steadying the ship.

Years ago Rebekah was my preceptor after I returned to the acute hospital setting. I had been removed from the hospital setting for 5 plus years & was a bit intimidated  being “ re-trained” by a much younger nurse. I was not familiar with orthopedics, new charting systems, ortho equipment, unit routines-everything was a bit new to me- hospitals surely had changed after my 5 year absence! Rebekah showed patience, expertise, & was an invaluable resource for me during & after my orientation. As a direct result of my orientation with Rebekah I quickly became a seasoned member of our team. Precepting, floating to other units, dealing with difficult patients & doctors was again second nature to me! I actually received two Clinical Excellence awards due to being “ whipped into shape” by Rebekah! I watched Rebekah further & further her education while serving in an assortment of roles. Although I am now retired I continue to ask for Rebekah for her thoughts on medical issues that may come up-that is a huge compliment from a nurse of the 1980s. I am definitely not  easily impressed! Well done kiddo-I'm super proud of your accomplishments!!!!!
